First time staying at AKL Jambo/Club Level.I can check in online in 5 days.Do you suggest using this or doing regular check in at the concierge desk?Arriving early, 10:30am to resort with our own car. Also, drive or bus to parks and other resorts for ADRs?

    Hi Tracy:

Sounds like you have a great trip coming up.

I recommend online check in since 9 out of 10 times it has saved me time. When you check-in online before arriving at the Resort, you provide your party's names, address, contact information, any room requests (based on availability), and a credit card for room charges. When you arrive at the Resort, you will look for the signs directing you to on-line check-in at the front desk. You will have to wait on line, if there is one, to pick up your welcome folder and Key to the World card (your room key with charging privileges), but theoretically, the line, if any, and the check-in process should move quickly since information was already provided during the online check-in process beforehand. The only "negative" I've every experienced with online check-in was that one single time, the line for non-online check in was shorter than for online check-in. But chances are, it will save you time.

If you are arriving early, your room may or not be ready, and whether you checked-in online or not should not make a difference in whether your room is ready early.  Hopefully your room will be ready, but if not, you can store any luggage with bell services (or in your car).

I recommend taking Disney transportation to the Parks, except to Animal Kingdom Park, which may be quicker if you drive.  If you have a car, I highly recommend driving to other Resorts where you have advance dining reservations.  Since there is no direct Resort-to-Resort bus service, driving will cut out a time-consuming bus transfer.

    Enjoy your vacation.
