Ricardo from Pichincha Asked Note: This answer was provided prior to the change to planDisney and may still contain references to Disney Parks Moms Panel.

It's the first time I will stay in a Hotel out of Disney. Can I use my Magic Bands of 2017 to load the Park Tickets or where can I get the cards to use my tickets?

Hello, Ricardo! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is in just a few months, and I’m sure you’re excited about your return to The Most Magical Place on Earth.

You can certainly use your MagicBands from 2017 to link your tickets for your upcoming visit. My family and I still have MagicBands from 2015! While there is the potential for some of the “long-range” features of the MagicBand (like photos and videos for attractions such as Seven Dwarfs Mine Train or Slinky Dog Dash) not to work in older bands, you should not have any problem using the touch points to enter the Theme Parks and redeem your FastPass+ experiences.

If you’ve ordered paperless tickets online, you should be able to link those ticket numbers to the MagicBands stored in your My Disney Experience account from your previous visit. You can also visit any Guest Relations location to pick up a ticket card as well.

Good luck, Ricardo, and please let us know if there’s anything else we can do to help.
