Welcome to planDisney, Anna! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning your very first visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth! You've made a great choice to stay at a
Disney Resort hotel, which puts you closer to the magic with some really awesome extra
perks and benefits along the way!
Anna, your standard
Theme Park ticket offers you entry to the parks, but also includes access to all of the magical attractions and entertainment offerings as well! There's really nothing more iconic than ending a Disney day watching a nighttime fireworks spectacular! Currently, Magic Kingdom Park, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and EPCOT offer nighttime spectaculars, so I'd love to share a few tips about each and my favorite viewing locations to help you plan for them!
- Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park features fireworks as well as a projection show on Cinderella Castle and up and down the buildings on Main Street, U.S.A. I recommend finding a spot along Main Street, U.S.A. about 45 minutes before showtime to ensure you will be able to see everything! While you can see the fireworks from other vantage points in the park, the projections add a little extra magic and you might even get a glimpse of TinkerBell soaring through the sky!
- Fantasmic! at Disney's Hollywood Studios takes place nightly in the amphitheater at the end of Sunset Blvd. This show does fill up early, so I'd recommend arriving about 45-60 minutes before showtime to secure your spot. You can also opt to book a Fantasmic! Dining Package which will allow you to arrive a little closer to showtime and have reserved show seating!
- Luminous: The Symphony of Us at EPCOT brings light and wonder to World Showcase. You can view this show from any country around World Showcase Lagoon, but my favorite area is between Mexico and Norway. We like to grab a snack from La Cantina de San Angel before we find our spot!
- While Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park does not offer a fireworks show at this time, I do recommend checking out Pandora - The World of Avatar after the sun sets because it transforms into a glowing environment that is absolutely breathtaking!
I hope this is helpful, Anna; be sure to keep an eye on the
Entertainment Schedule as your trip gets closer to verify the times for each of the fireworks shows you will be attending! I hope you get to see them all and uncover all of the magic on your first visit! If you have any other planning questions, please come back and let us know! At planDisney, we're all ears!
Magic Awaits,
Alison
