Hello, Sharon!
What a great way to celebrate a 70th birthday! We're heading to Walt Disney World with the extended family to celebrate my father-in-law's 70th birthday, too! Happy birthday, Dads!
I suggest that you gauge your father's interests prior to planning your days. Does he like the more adventurous rides? Enjoy fine dining? Prefers to get up early or stay out late?
Once you've determined what attractions, restaurants and entertainment he'd enjoy the most, take a look at the calendars for each of the parks in WDW:
Magic Kingdom Park
Epcot
Disney's Hollywood Studios
Disney's Animal Kingdom Park
Next, look at park open and close, as well as the timing of certain events, such as parades, fireworks and other entertainment; consider where you'd like to dine and you'll have an initial schedule.
Your next step should be to book reservations at any Table-Service restaurant you'd like to try by either using WDW's convenient
online dining reservation system or by calling (407) WDW-DINE. Book these asap, since Guests can make these reservations up to 180 days of check-in.
Send me another question or two (or ten!) as you think of them, including what your father's favorites are; I'll try to point you in those directions so that you're sure to enjoy every one of them!
