Hi! This is our first time so we are kinda new, What if we had a dinner reservation at 7:20 at California Grill, We ate dinner then, and at 9:30 we go again Just to eat dessert and watch the fireworks. Is it possible to do it for only dessert?

    Hi Michelle,

You may be new to Walt Disney World, but you've already found one of the best spots for dinner and a view of the Wishes nighttime spectacular from atop the Contemporary. I also have some good news for you: There's no need to make a second, later reservation. If you have dined at California Grill that evening, you will be allowed to reenter to watch the fireworks from one of the outdoor balconies without a spot at a table. (I love watching from a balcony. You feel so close to the fireworks).

Just hang onto your receipt to show at the elevator dedicated exclusively for California Grill guests.

If you are like my family, with a 7:20 p.m. reservation, you may find that you are still lingering at your table anyway until nearly time for Wishes. We always enjoy a leisurely paced dinner at California Grill, savoring appetizers, our entrees and dessert and coffee. It's not unusual for us to be at our table at least 90 minutes.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle. Don't hesitate to return often if we can answer any more questions for you as you plan your vacation. You're off to a great start. Enjoy!
