We are going for the first time June 21-27 2009. I called to reserve Fantasmic dinner package and it was completely booked. I am so sad, any advice on securing this for possible cancelations?

That same thing has happened to my family too Katie.  And, unfortunately, I don't have any magical advice to share, other than to (as Dory would say)  just keep swimming trying

Your visit falls during a busy time of year and so--as much as I hate to say it--chances of securing that reservation aren't great.  Your best bet is to call back often (and by often I mean daily) to check for any availability.  Be prepared to accept whatever time is offered, as early as 4:00.  Maybe even earlier.

My family did have luck scoring a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table for breakfast one time, by calling and checking for cancelations.  We called three days before we wanted to dine and were fortunate enough to secure a seating.  You never know until you try, so keep at it.  If you are unsuccessful, as a last resort you could inquire about availability at the podium on the night of.  I'd say chances of getting in on a walk-in basis are slim to none, but then again, stranger things have happened.  Good luck!

Given your inclination to plan a magical trip, I can already tell we have a lot in common. I'm Darcie, and my friends would be the first to tell you that Disney trip planning (especially dining!) is my love language. Of course, the vacations my family enjoys today look much different than they did when our kids were little, but while some of our favorite activities have evolved, Disney destinations still top our travel wish lists. Let's work together to plan a downright dreamy vacation for your family! Learn More About Darcie
