First time with an Interior on the Dream and looking forward to a virtual porthole! We are taking a Norway ffyord and Iceland cruise this summer, when sunlight lasts until late at night! Can the porthole be turned off or dimmed?

    Hi there, Deborah!

Welcome back to planDisney, it's lovely to hear from you!

You will love the Disney Dream, she is such a beautiful ship! Inside Staterooms on the Disney Dream do have a Magical Porthole that features a real-time peek outside, which guests are welcome to turn on or off whenever they would like. I do recommend leaving it on when you aren't sleeping because Disney friends often stop by to wave at you!

What an incredible adventure you have heading your way! You might want to take a look at the Packing List for European Cruises to help you prepare for your voyage. With a longer cruise, I love to take advantage of the Laundry Services onboard so that I can pack just a little bit lighter. The self-service laundry rooms on the Dream are located on Decks 2, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 so you should have an option pretty close to your stateroom. The laundry rooms also have ironing equipment just in case something gets a little rumpled in your bags.

Since you mentioned it's your first time sailing on the Disney Dream I want to make sure you don't miss my favorite show: Beauty and the Beast! The sets for this retelling at sea are so creative, it's the perfect mix of new elements and the classic story and music we know and love. It's definitely a must-sea!

Deborah, I hope your voyage is full of gorgeous views, delicious food, and wonderful people! Please sail by again if you have more questions!

    Keep moving forward!
