this is our first time going and I'll be going in the first week of july and will be there for the 4th are their any special celebrations happening and we will be staying at the Caribbean Beach Resort

Hi Nikita and thanks for the question!  July will be here before you know it, so I'll bet you're getting excited!

I am pleased to say that the Walt Disney World has lots of surprises up its sleeve when it comes to Independence Day 2012, but unfortunately, specific information will most likely not be released until late May to early June.

Historically, the parks have participated in special red, white, and blue 360 fireworks extravaganzas, patriotic parades, characters decked out in special attire, live musical performances, and there is usually even a street party at Downtown Disney.

Just to give you an idea, this is what last year's 4th of July offerings looked like:

Magic Kingdom:  Celebrate America! A Concert in the Sky special fireworks display set to patriotic music.  Last year this took place at 9PM on July 3rd and July 4th.

Hollywood Studios: Mulch, Sweat, and Shears took guests on a musical American road trip with the live show Rockin' 4th of July Celebration.

Epcot:  The nightly spectacular Illuminations was adapted and enhanced for the holiday with the special musical overlay The Heartbeat of Freedom.  There were also social meet and greets with historical figures Benjamin Franklin and Betsy Ross in addition to favorite Disney Characters wearing their patriotic best!

Here is an article from the Disney Parks Blog which outlines the special 4th of July offerings from 2011. Be sure to keep an eye on this blog for the latest updates on special events as they become available!
