First time having dinner at California Grill. Should we request and wait for a window table? We are 2 adults.

    Hi Jackie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Walt Disney World Resort is without a doubt California Grill. My husband and I have eaten there several times, in almost every section of the restaurant. We’ve yet to have a disappointing meal!

While I definitely think that it’s worth the wait to get a window table, I don’t think that you necessarily need to wait for a window with a view of Magic Kingdom Park. Although it’s nice to have the option to see the fireworks from your table if your reservation is timed right, I actually prefer heading to the restaurant’s observation deck to see the show.

My favourite place to sit at California Grill has been in the “wine room” section near the back of the restaurant. It’s a little bit split off from the hustle and bustle of the main dining room, but it still has tons of windows with a great (albeit, distant) view of Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios and even downtown Orlando. If you’re going for a nice, quiet(er) dinner with two adults, I’d recommend asking for a table in that section.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions about your upcoming vacation!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
