Hello and welcome to planDisney, AnnaMaria!
AnnaMaria, October is a wonderful time to visit the Walt Disney World Resort and with the
50th Anniversary celebrations kicking off October 1st, you are in for a GOLDEN time!
Since you already have dates on your calendar, I recommend
purchasing your theme park tickets as soon as you are able and then immediately making your
Disney Park Pass reservations. To do this you’ll first want to create a
My Disney Experience account if you haven’t yet done so. Through this account you’ll be able to manage your tickets, Disney Park Pass reservations and then
any dining reservations you make.
AnnaMaria, dining reservations can be made 60 days in advance of your visit and can be
secured online. There are so many wonderful options at each of the four theme parks and if you’re interested in what some of my fellow panelists deem as their favorites, please take a few moments to
read the Panel Extras section. If you need recommendations or have additional questions about dining, I hope you’ll come back to planDisney because we love to talk about dining around the Walt Disney World Resort just as much as Chef Remy loves to cook!
Finally, AnnaMaria, while I love October at the Walt Disney World Resort, there is always a chance that weather will affect your daily plans. Most of the time a pop up rain shower or even a downpour won't ruin your Disney day as many attractions will remain open or unaffected. However, should the weather be more severe, please see
this information about the hurricane policy.
AnnaMaria, I hope this helps as you are planning for your fall vacation at the Most Magical Place on Earth. Your new friends hEAR at planDisney are ready with answers to any other questions you might have, so please come back and see us.
Wishing you a Magical time,
Lauren
