Hi Raymond,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How wonderful of you to take your grandson to the Walt Disney World Resort!
We have found the
Services for Guests with Disabilities Guide to be helpful - it offers additional information on what kinds of accommodations are available for guests with particular needs. The Park Guides for Guests with Disabilities may be especially helpful. If your grandson is in a wheelchair, you can certainly use the complimentary
Resort Transportation. From Kidani Village to Disney's Animal Kingdom, you may use bus transportation.
When I have stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, the bus transportation to Disney's Animal Kingdom was quick. In checking
My Disney Experience Mobile App, the estimated transit time from Kidani Village and the Lodge is 33 minutes. If your grandson is not in a wheelchair, but needs support walking and/or takes more time to walk, you can still take resort transportation. My husband has mobility challenges and we have found the cast members quite helpful as we navigate the parks and resorts.
Raymond, another option might be to use the
Minnie Van™ Service. They do have wheelchair accessible vans. We used this service on our last visit and it was fantastic. The drivers were friendly and gave us a little history about the resorts and parks. When you get to Disney's Animal Kingdom, be sure to check out Pandora - The World of Avatar!
Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
Donyell
