Well, hello, Kelly! So glad to see you back here at planDisney! Just like Genie said to Aladdin when he rubbed the lamp, we are "
Right here for your very much wish-fulfillment!"
I see you have a trip quickly approaching, so let's do a quick rundown of
Disney's Genie+ Service. Understandably, since you won't be getting to
Magic Kingdom Park until late afternoon, you are concerned about the wait times in the standby lines. To access an attraction's Lightning Lane, you will need to buy either Disney Genie+ or an Individual Lightning Lane Selection. All Walt Disney World Resort guests (both onsite and off) who have purchased Genie+ can book their first attraction starting at 7 AM EST. You'll need to navigate to your "Tip Board" in the
My Disney Experience app, where you can
only book the next available time window, which could be as soon as five minutes or possibly hours away for some of the more popular attractions. You cannot make them in advance for times later in the day, unfortunately, since there are not multiple time windows to select from. If you want to try using it, make sure to keep monitoring your Tip Board until you see time windows that fit your schedule- probably 4 PM and later.
It's also essential that you understand the "120 Minute Rule."You have to redeem a Genie+ Lightning Lane selection before you can book another one — or you'll have to wait 120 minutes from the time of booking, whichever comes first. Also, if you book a Genie+ Lightning Lane selection at 7 AM, before park opening, and the park doesn't open until 9 AM, you'll have to wait until 11 AM to make another selection. Your Tip Board will display the exact time you can book your next Genie+ LL. There is always a chance return times for select attractions will go faster than others and sometimes even run out for the day.
Finally, Genie+ and Lightning Lanes are not available during
Extended Evening Theme Park Hours. If you have Genie+ at Magic Kingdom Park or want to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane, you'll need to schedule them before 9 PM. Guests have accomplished a great deal from the reviews I've read during Extended Evening Hours. Keep in mind that those 2 hours will go very quickly, so I recommend starting with less popular attractions and finishing with more popular ones, such as
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Check out the Walt Disney World website for more details since not all attractions are available during Extended Evening Hours.
I hope all your wishes come true, Kelly! Please write back if I can be of any more assistance, because, "
You Aint Never Had A Friend Like Me!"
