Hello, first time we are flying to DWD and trying to find info if trading pins can fly or considered Sharp dangerous iteam. If so do you know if there is a limit and if they are checked on carry on? Thanks

Welcome back, Paula! It's great to see you here again at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Paula, one of my family's favorite parts of a Walt Disney World Resort trip is pin trading! Both of my kids seem to change what they're looking for each visit which makes it so much fun. One year we were hunting for only Daisy Duck and then another trip it was all about Star Wars

Now, Paula, since my family and I live in Pennsylvania, we always take to the skies when visiting Mickey Mouse, so I appreciate this question. While I first will encourage you to check out your local airport's rules and regulations, I will share, that in my experience, we have traveled with four lanyards full of pins, both in our checked luggage and in our carry-on luggage. We made it through security just fine both ways . I'll reiterate that I would recommend checking with your specific airline and airport as policies are subject to change and could be different than what I experienced.

Paula, I hope this helps as you are looking ahead to your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth. If you love flying, check out this watering hole dedicated to Indy's pilot: Jock Lindsey's Hangar Bar at Disney Springs. My husband's favorite spot for a drink, you'll marvel at all of the aeronautical artifacts tucked into every nook and cranny!

Paula, best wishes for a trip full of memories and a flight as smooth as riding on a banshee. I hope you'll stop back and see us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any other questions you might have.
