First Time Family of 4 (Me, hubby, DS 4 and DD1) question is about the dining plan. The children's choices all seem to be the same (hamburger, hot dogs and ckn nuggets) Is this plan really worth it? My son is picky and would get tired of these foods fast

    Hi Mary,

I think the regular dining plan is absolutely worth it, especially for table service meals.  There are several table service restaurants that feature buffets or have table service, all you can eat, options.  At these restaurants, your child will be able to choose from both the adult choices and the child choices.

Quick service gets a little more tricky, but there are restaurants out there that have some different options or don't have a children's menu, in which case he would be able to order off of the adult menu.  Some of our favorite quick service options include:

    • Yorkshire County Fish Shop - in Epcot.  Has great fish & chips, and there is no children's menu.
    • Cantina de San Angel - in Epcot.  Your child will be able to order from adult options.
    • Sunshine Seasons - in Epcot.  The children's selections feature - chicken leg w/mashed potatoes, mini sub sandwich, sweet & sour chicken.
    • Toy Story Pizza Planet - at Hollywood Studios has Cheese Pizza
    • Flame Tree Barbecue- Animal Kingdom has a chicken drumstick or hot dog
    • Yak & Yeti Counter Service - besides cheeseburgers & chicken nuggets, they have Pork Egg Rolls
    • Pop Century Food Court - I don't know where you are staying, but many of the resorts have wider counter service selections for children.  This food court has Penne Pasta, Beef & Broccoli Stir Fry, Vegetable Lo Mein as well as the usual mac & cheese, chicken nugget kid's fare.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!
