Hello Vittoria!
Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m so excited you will be visiting the Disneyland Resort. As a mom of a special needs child myself, choosing the right resort/hotel is just as important as visiting the parks.
I personally love
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and try to stay there when possible. In addition to being an exceptional property, the Grand Californian also has it’s own entrance into Disney California Adventure Park so it’s quicker to get to and from the fun should we need down time or something comes up medically. Across the way from the hotel is the monorail into Disneyland Park as well, so it’s definitely the closest hotel to both parks.
Disneyland Hotel is another great property that is really close to the action, and then further out is Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel. There are some great
Good Neighbor Hotels, but with my son’s needs, we try to stay on property as often as we can. When we do stay off property, we usually go to the Howard Johnson Hotel which is about 2 blocks away, but you can request a room that faces the fireworks at night which allows you to see all of the magic, while being in your quiet and cozy hotel room.
When at the parks, don’t forget to look into the
Disability Access Service and look over all of the services Disney provides to help guests make their time in the parks a little more enjoyable, no matter what abilities and disabilities you might be facing.
I hope this helps and please let me know if you need any further help as you plan your trip!
See you real soon!
