first time going to disneyworld, and we just booked our vacation dec-12 -- 18, we tried to book a few of reservations but every day is full at all out locations we wanted, do any spots come available while u are there and how do u find out.

    Jacob:

Unfortunately, you are traveling to Disney during their Free Dining promotion which can make dining reservations at the more popular restaurants more difficult.  My first recommendation is not to give up easily.  When I found myself in a similar situation on Spring Break, I programmed the Disney Dining number (407-939-3463) into my cell phone and called to check on my most favorite restaurants whenever I thought about it--in the carpool line, at the hairdresser, cooking dinner, you name it!  I ended up landing a coveted dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's and one at Akershus with just days to spare!

However, if you find yourself arriving at Disney with a few favorite restaurants still on your elusive list, check out the article that appeared on the Disney Parks blog this week.  They unveiled the new mobile dining reservation site that works in real time on any supported Android, Blackberry or iPhone!  With it, you can check for available dining spots in the parks by location and time!  The article includes instructions on how you can download it, too.

Sending you some pixie dust for those reservations!

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
