Hi Melissa! I really appreciate your question and am so thrilled to be able to assist you in planning your first visit to the Disneyland Resort!
On my first trip to Disneyland, I booked my family for a week and I remember thinking I was crazy for booking such a long stay after reading about how small the parks are compared to Walt Disney World. Boy was I wrong! A week was absolutely perfect and my family was able to experience nearly everything the Disneyland Resort has to offer without feeling pressed or rushed. We were able to take our time to enjoy the little details that many people miss without feeling the need to rush around to make it on every attraction.
To be honest, you could technically experience a great deal in 3 days, but you really need to devote 2 full days to Disneyland Park and 1 day to Disney California Adventure. By having a few extra days, you'll be able to take in the sights and shopping at Downtown Disney and you'll also have time to explore each of the three
Disneyland Resort Hotels. Did I mention the food??? You'll definitely want to allow time to sit down and experience some of the amazing
dining opportunities offered at Disneyland Resort! A few of my favorites include Steakhouse 55 (Disneyland Hotel), Napa Rose (Grand Californian), Catal (Downtown Disney), and Blue Bayou (Disneyland Park).
A few extra days will more importantly allow some relaxation time, whether you find yourself poolside, basking in the Southern California sun, or at Mandara Spa, enjoying a world-class massage or body treatment.
Please let me know if I can be of further assistance in the planning of your first Disneyland vacation! It is an honor to spread pixie dust on your visit to the
Happiest Place on Earth!
