Hello! First time Disneyland visitor here. Will be going with a 6 year old boy with high functioning autism and a 12 year old girl and looking for the best things to prioritize for our visit. We purchased 3 day park hopper and are staying across the street

    Hi, Tamica!  Welcome to planDisney!

I'm so excited to hear that you'll soon be visiting Disneyland Resort for the first time!  It would be my pleasure to help you create a list of some must-do experiences for your first trip to The Happiest Place on Earth.  I'm glad to hear that you have your theme park tickets already.  If you haven't already done so, be sure to also make your theme park reservations.  You'll also want to download the Disneyland mobile app.  The app is a helpful tool for navigating the theme parks, and you'll need it if you're planning to utilize services such as Disney Genie or mobile food and beverage ordering.

With so much to see and do at Disneyland Resort, it's highly unlikely that anyone would be able to do it all in one trip.  However, with your three-day Park Hopper tickets, I think you'll have plenty of time to experience your family's must-dos.  Everyone's priorities are going to be unique based on their own interests, so I recommend sitting down with all the members of your travel party and looking over the list of Disneyland Resort's attractions and entertainment options.  There you will find descriptions of all the attractions to help you prioritize what you'd like to see and do.

Disneyland Park is home to many classic attractions such as "it's a small world" and Pirates of the Caribbean which are, in my opinion, quintessential Disneyland must-dos.  Both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park have some incredibly immersive lands such as Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, Avengers Campus, and Cars Land.  I highly recommend taking some time to explore these worlds.  Also, be sure to catch some of the breathtaking nighttime entertainment such as World of Color - ONE.  I would suggest that first-time visitors check out a character meal or any other character experience as well.  While we're talking about your first visit priorities, don't forget about classic Disneyland snacks such as Dole Whip and Mickey ice cream bars.

Tamica, if you have any other questions as you get ready for your trip, please visit us again.  I hope your first visit to Disneyland Resort is nothing short of magical!  See ya real soon!
