This will be our first time to Disney and I have a 5 yr old boy and 8 yr old girl. It seems overwhelming with all of the parks to choose from and accomodations.Should we use a travel agent or whom to assist and get the best deal for the money?

Traveling to Disney can absolutely be overwhelming with all the choices and decisions.  You can begin exploring the trip online by simply going here to look at the resorts and see which you'd prefer and which meets your budget (I prefer always staying on-site for the benefits and simplicity).  Then you can eventually click here to play with booking a package, but you may prefer to do that over the phone (407-W-DISNEY) so that you can talk with someone.

While Disney is very helpful with booking, you may prefer the personalization a travel agent can provide.   For example, www.enchanteddestinations.net is a travel agency that specializes in Disney travel and will even make your dining reservations for you and call you if any special offers become available that could be applied to your trip.  You will also be able to call back and speak to the travel agent you are working with if you have further questions.  Of course, you can also continue to ask the Disney Moms :-)

I'd also recommend signing up for the weekly electronic newsletter from the website www.allearsnet.com to stay informed about the on-going changes and updates at WDW.
