Hi Ashley! Welcome to planDisney!
There is nothing quite like your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort. I still think back fondly to my first trip with my two girls and how magical the experience was. I remember holding them in my arms as we watched
Happily Ever After at the Magic Kingdom and thinking back to how special that moment was.
When
purchasing one-day tickets to the theme parks, pricing will vary based on the date you visit and the park you plan to go to. Typically, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park will have the lowest cost, followed by EPCOT, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the Magic Kingdom. If you are flexible on your dates, then you can search around for the best value. A one park per day ticket grants you access to the park you selected during your purchase. In order to visit other parks on this day, you'll need to add the
Park Hopper Option to your tickets.
Most Guests who visit for the first time tend to head to the Magic Kingdom, since it is the original park and is home to
Cinderella Castle. If you're traveling with little ones, there are many kid-friendly attractions along with a bunch of character meet-and-greet opportunities. If you only have one day, you will easily fill up your itinerary with everything there is to do at this park.
If your plans change and you decide to stay for longer, the more park days you purchase, the lower the cost per day is. For example, typically, a five-day park ticket will cost less per day than a four-day park ticket will. There are potential savings when staying longer, although I understand the total cost of your trip will be higher.
