Hiya, Hä Ther! Welcome back to planDisney!
It looks like your Walt Disney World adventure is just a few days away. How exciting! You’ll be enjoying 4 theme parks, 2 water parks, and a whole world of magic before you know it. So it’s time to play the music, it’s time to light the lights! It's time to get your answers on the planDisney Show tonight!
As a fellow Muppets fan, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but unfortunately your opportunities to see the Swedish Chef at Walt Disney World are much more limited now than they were a month ago. The Swedish Chef could previously be seen in Muppet Vision 3D at Hollywood Studios, as well as references at the restaurant PizzeRizzo, but both closed in early June
to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. themed land.
I’m sure this isn’s the news you were hoping for, but I am happy to report that the Muppets will eventually have a home at Hollywood Studios again. It was also announced earlier this year that the
Muppets would be moving across the park and taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. Details haven’t been released yet, but it's entirely possible the Swedish Chef could make an appearance in this first-ever Muppets-themed roller coaster. As always, the
Disney Parks Blog will be your best source for Walt Disney World updates and breaking news.
Speaking of new additions to Hollywood Studios, you won’t want to miss the two new shows at the park,
Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After and
The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure.
Hä Ther, I hope you have an amazing visit to Walt Disney World. Don’t hesitate to come right back if you have any other questions. Your planDisney pals are here to help!
Bork Bork Bork and magical travels!
Matt
