Hi Joycie!
Be sure to order the free Walt Disney World
planning DVD.
I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World"
by Julie and Mike Neal. There are a lot of good tour books out there,
but I especially like this for first timers as it is packed with photos
and some good tips.
In my opinion, one of the biggest mistakes a first timer sometimes makes
is not making dining reservations. I think the ADRs are critical
if you want to dine in a Table Service (full service) restaurant, especially since you are going during a busy period.
I also recommend visiting the independent website TouringPlans.com since you will be going during the busy July 4th holiday. That's the team behind the book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World". I love their touring plans, which are like a set of recommendations on how to see the parks. Their plans are based on a lot of math and years of research. They can save you a lot of time by reducing the amount of time you have to spend in line. I'm a big fan of their work!
This should get you started. Write back with some more detailed questions when you are ready!
