We're going for the first time to Disney World (my husband, our 2 1/2 year old son and I) in July 4-10th. Any suggestions on rides, dinning and MUST see or do? Please help!

    Hi Joycie!

Be sure to order the free Walt Disney World planning DVD.  I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  There are a lot of good tour books out there, but I especially like this for first timers as it is packed with photos and some good tips.

In my opinion, one of the biggest mistakes a first timer sometimes makes is not making dining reservations.  I think the ADRs are critical if you want to dine in a Table Service (full service) restaurant, especially since you are going during a busy period.

I also recommend visiting the independent website since you will be going during the busy July 4th holiday.  That's the team behind the book "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  I love their touring plans, which are like a set of recommendations on how to see the parks.  Their plans are based on a lot of math and years of research.  They can save you a lot of time by reducing the amount of time you have to spend in line.  I'm a big fan of their work!

This should get you started.  Write back with some more detailed questions when you are ready!
