Hello! This is my first time going to Disney World with my children. My in-laws live in Florida, and they want to purchase our tickets. Will they be able to apply the Florida rate to our tickets? They aren't able to travel and won't be joining us.

Hi, Patricia! Thanks so much for stopping by with your question today! Walt Disney World Resort has some spectacular Special Offers for Florida Residents, including resort and ticket deals. However, to take advantage of these offers, the ticket holders do need to be current Florida Residents. There are several ways that Florida Residency is checked by Guest Services, but the main thing is that the person who plans on using the ticket will need to show a valid, government-issued ID when activating the ticket. I have known of Florida residents able to purchase and activate tickets for children. However, this does need to be done in person at Guest Services. It is such a sweet gesture on the part of your in-laws, but since they will not be joining you on the trip, then this will not really work for you.

Oh well, no worries! There is still a great ticketing offer that you can use! Head on over to the Walt Disney World Resort website and check out the 4-Park Magic Tickets. These tickets allow guests to experience each of the four Walt Disney World Resort theme parks on four separate days. You will be able to see the beauty of Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Park, go Soarin' Around the World in Epcot, say "hey howdy hey" to Sheriff Woody and the gang at Disney's Hollywood Studios, and trek through the savanna at Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park. Once you link them to your My Disney Experience account, be sure to make your FastPass+ selections. These can be done 30 days in advance of each day you plan to visit each theme park, or 60 days in advance if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel.

Thanks again for stopping by and please let us know if you have any other questions.
