This is going to be our first time to disney world. We are going for our 20th ann. my husband wants to stay at the animal kingdome since i am a animal lover but i am worried about the cost.Any suggestion is this worth it ?

Hi Jackie - I have stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge a few times and love it there!  I find it so relaxing to spend the day at the parks and then head back to the resort to check on "my" animals - it's not every day you can see a giraffe outside your window!  The downside is, I'm not sure I slept as much as I would at another resort as I found myself sneaking to the window to watch the animals during the night!

I think if you can fit a Savanna view room into your budget it would be a great way to celebrate your anniversary.  My favorite location is the Zebra trail on the 2nd or 3rd floor.   If the Savanna room doesn't work out, there are plenty of places throughout the resort where you can view the animals.  You may want to keep an eye on the Special Offers page to see if you can get a discount for your travel dates.

There are also a couple of great restaurants located at this resort.  Personally, I didn't think I would enjoy Jiko - The Cooking Place but once I tried it, this restaurant quickly became one of my favorites.  This restaurant would be a special treat for your anniversary dinner.  I also enjoy breakfast at Boma - Flavors of Africa - the buffet is beyond amazing!

I hope your first vacation to Walt Disney World and your 20th Anniversary are truly magical.  Please let us know if you have additional questions - we are here to help you!  Diane
