This is my first time to Disney with 6 of us, one a 6 year old boy. April 4-10. Took out 5 day dining plan We arrive at hotel around 1:00. What do you suggest we do that afternoon at Downtown Disney or Disney's Boardwalk for dinner that is not expensive.

    Hi, Mimi!

    Great question!

One of our very favorite locations for dining while touring Walt Disney World is Wolfgang Puck Express at Downtown Disney Marketplace. A Quick Service location on the Disney Dining Plan, this restaurant treats Guests to delicious, made-to-order food that's as good as offerings at many Table Service locations. The little guy will love the options, too, and it's conveniently located just a few steps away from Once Upon a Toy and just a few more from World of Disney Store. Truly, Wolfgang Puck Express is a must-do for my family, and we plan our Downtown Disney time around the meal we'd like to enjoy at this location.

If you'll be spending time at Disney's BoardWalk, check out the newly-reopened BoardWalk Bakery which features delicious, affordable quiche, salads, soups and sandwiches (not to mention mouthwatering pastries) or, perhaps, head over to Beaches & Cream Soda Shop at Disney's Beach Club Resort. (Their Beaches Rachel Sandwich is sooo good, as are their onion rings and, of course, their signature dessert, The Kitchen Sink.) There are also some really tasty, affordable options at Big River Grille & Brewing Works, so check out their menu as well. (We're not beer drinkers, but this is a new family fav nevertheless!)

I promise you, Mimi, you will be so happy with any of these choices. They are all so very good!

Head to any of these early, Mimi, and you might even beat the dinnertime crowds!

Send more questions as you think of them Mimi; we love to help!
