Its our first time going to Disney and we have two little ones we are wondering how much tickets are for children under ten and if anyone has any suggestions for things to do?

Hi Johnathan! Beginning to plan your first visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is always exciting, but it can definitely feel overwhelming with so many great opportunities awaiting your family! I'm happy to help navigate you through the beginning of your family's journey to see Mickey and Minnie!

Theme park tickets have a price range. The cost of a ticket depends upon the time of year you choose to visit. Less busy times of the year are less expensive and busier times are more expensive. Theme park tickets for children ages three to nine years old range from a low of $104 to a high of $154. Children under the age of three do not need to have a ticket to enter any of the four Disney Parks!

In order to get a specific idea of ticket costs for your children, you can visit the Theme Parks Tickets page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. When you arrive at this page, you will see ticket prices default to tickets for people ages 10+. You have to scroll almost all the way down to the bottom of the page where you will see ticket prices for children appear. Take some time to explore that ticket page/calendar. You'll quickly start to figure out how things work with tickets. For example, a child's (age 3-9) ticket for one theme park on your arrival date on June 7, 2021would be $121 (before tax). You should also note that ticket prices decrease as you choose more days to visit Disney Parks.

As far as what to do when you visit...the options are endless. With young children, I believe a visit to Magic Kingdom Park is a must for any family! Beyond that, I encourage you to consider the interests that your children have! For example, if your children love Star Wars and/or Toy Story, then a visit to Disney's Hollywood Studios is a must! If there are fans of Anna and Elsa living in your home then a visit to EPCOT should be considered. And, finally, if seeing the most beautiful animals from around the world in natural habitats is a priority for your family then plan to spend some time at Disney's Animal Kingdom!

I also recommend that you consider a Disney Character Dining experience for your family to enjoy! The amazing food coupled with some of your family's favorite characters is a great way to make vacation memories. I recommend either Chef Mickey's or Topolino's Terrace.

Johnathan, I also want to bring your attention to the Special Offers page on the Walt Disney World Resort website. There are several money-saving promotions currently being offered! You will most likely find a special offer that applies to your family! You're sure to have many questions as you continue your planning! Come back to visit planDisney!
