    Hi, this will be our first time to Disney. We're trying to pack but had a couple questions about clothing. Can we wear tanks? Secondly, can our boys wear basketball type shorts or do they have to be regular shorts? Thanks

    Hi Joel!

    Oh my goodness! How exciting! Your magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation starts tomorrow!!!!

    Given that you are from Texas, hopefully you will be acclimated to the warm Florida weather. Tanks are great, as are basketball shorts. We were at Walt Disney World Resort a couple of weeks ago and my son wore basketball shorts throughout our visit. Moisture wicking materials are great for this time of year.

    Mom tip: be sure to have lots of sunscreen packed and have everyone in your traveling party use it throughout the day. Also, make sure you pack comfortable shoes. You will be doing lots and lots and lots of walking.

    If you are planning to visit a Signature Dining Restaurant, you will need to add a few more items to your packing list as tank tops are not allowed. The dress code for Signature Dining is as follows:

    "Men must wear khakis, slacks or dress shorts and collared shirts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition. Sport coats are optional.

    Women must wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses or dress shorts. Jeans may be worn if in good condition.

    Not permitted are tank tops, flip-flops, swimsuits, swimsuit cover-ups, hats for gentlemen, cut-offs, torn clothing and t-shirts with offensive language and/or graphics."
