First time to Disney since they started Magic Bands. We are staying at one resort the first night then moving to another the next day and staying there for 5 nights? How does this work with magic bands? Do I need two separate ones for each person?

Hi Jessica!

Split stays are so much fun! It's a great way to experience multiple Walt Disney World Resorts in one vacation.

You will have the option of customizing and receiving two sets of MagicBands since you have two separate Resort reservations. Either set will work for both of your stays, so if you would rather not have a duplicate set, you can decline the MagicBands on your second reservation in your My Disney Experience account under "MagicBands and Cards". The only advantage to having both sets is picking different colors. You can alternate which color you wear on each day!
