Hi, This is will be our first time to Disney parks, would like to get some advise about our trip.

Hi there Lily, I'm happy to be your warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!

As one of our international specialists across the Disney Parks here and abroad, I'm always happy to help Canadians take their first steps towards experiencing Disney Destinations. Approaching a trip like this for the very first time can seem daunting especially with how much there is to see, do and eat during your visit - and the fear of missing out can be quite real for first-timers. On the bright side, you've come to us here at planDisney which is definitely a step above folks heading into it without any pre-planning, so feel free to come back to us with questions specific to every part of your trip so that we can provide the most personalized advice! In the meantime, without knowing too much about who you're traveling with and where you're staying here are a few things to keep in mind to start you off:

    • From the looks of it, you let us know that you'll be arriving on December 31, 2024 just in time for New Year's Eve which is by far one of the busiest and wildest days to possibly visit any of the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks with the holiday season being especially popular. Ideally in my personal opinion, this might be the most challenging time for anyone to attempt to visit places like Magic Kingdom Park or EPCOT just by the sheer amount of other families, historically higher average ticket prices for that particular week and often longer wait times to experience rides or attractions. (You might find that even after a few days or so into January that the holiday hubbub can make a big difference in what your overall first-time experience can be like!)

You'll want to be prepared to use the My Disney Experience app effectively while you're in Florida, and in the meantime following the Disney Parks Blog will help prepare you for the things you can expect when you're here! I find that the best part about being able to come to planDisney is that we have direct access to the information Cast Members provide us that we can personalize for first-timers and anyone with a Disney vacation ahead (but unlike a travel agent we won't be able to book anything on your behalf as those are folks who are paid for those kinds of services, which could be something you might want to take advantage of).

Hope this helps as a start for now Lily, and look forward to seeing more of your questions here soon!
