My first time going to Disney for myself and hubby and wanting to see what my options are and what quote are we looking at?Open to dates what ever is cheaper for 2 adults.

    Hey Mari,

Welcome to planDisney! A first-time visit to Walt Disney World with your hubby sounds so dreamy to me. After years of convincing, I finally got my boyfriend to agree to a trip with just the two of us. Our kids will hate the idea, but I’m having a ball planning this adult visit! I’m grateful that some of my preliminary research might benefit you, too.

The first thing you’ll want to do as you kick off your planning is visit the Special Offers page on the Disney World website. This is where you’ll find all the current deals being offered. If your dates are flexible, you can definitely save some cash on your visit. Another tip that I’d like you to consider is reviewing the Disney World Ticket Calendar. This is a great planning resource because when Disney expects lower crowds, you save money. Aside from special offers, lower ticket and resort prices can often be spotted on the Ticket Calendar in late August/early September and in January/February right after the holidays.

Here at planDisney, we are Disney vacationers just like you and not travel agents. While I’m unable to provide quotes, I visit often and can instead offer you some great ideas to consider for your trip! One of my most favorite things to do when I visit with grownups is attend Sangria University at Coronado Springs Resort. During the course you’ll learn about the history of sangria and the recipes used to make the 4 in-house sangrias at Toledo - Tapas, Steak & Seafood. You’ll get to taste all 4 sangrias and make your own. This is such a cool experience for you and your hubby to have together. Note that advance reservations are required. If sangria isn’t your jam, there are so many other exciting options in the Enchanting Extras Collection to choose from. You’ll be able to book them 60 days prior to your arrival date.

You will also be able to book any table service dining experiences you’d like to have during your stay at 60 days prior to your arrival, so give some thought to which restaurants you’d like to try. There are so many great places to dine across the resort that it might be hard to choose. A few of my favorites for an adults-only visit are Tiffins Restaurant in Animal Kingdom, Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge Resort and Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian Resort. For quick service dining, while you won’t need to make advance reservations, you may want to download the My Disney Experience mobile app and get familiar with how to mobile order meals. Mobile ordering will save you some time in line. Speaking of saving time in line, definitely consider purchasing Lightning Lane passes for your trip. Lightning Lane passes allow guests to skip the traditional standby queue for select attractions and experiences.

Mari, I hope this information is helpful. You have so much to plan, so be sure to stop by planDisney again with all your great questions. I hope you have the best time on your vacation! We’ll see ya real soon!
