Hi, Stephanie! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, my fellow Ontarian friend!
Being a teacher here in Ontario, my availability looks a lot like yours when it comes to planning my Walt Disney World Resort vacations! Having experienced both of those time periods, I will give you my (brief) reflections of both to help you make a more informed decision, I hope that is helpful!
March Break -Great weather! Not too warm, not too cold and it isn’t hurricane season!
- Because “Spring Break” tends to vary from region to region, we found it to be less crowded than we had expected.
-Flights out of Ontario can be pricey as it is a peak travel season.
-There can be some Walt Disney World Resort Special Offers.
-The 2018 Epcot® International Flower & Garden Festival will be in full bloom! There are beautiful topiaries and yummy outdoor kitchens!
End of August -Lower crowds because many schools have already started back up!
-There are often many great
Special Offers on Disney Dining, Disney Resort hotel rooms and more!
-Lots of RAIN. It is hurricane season.
-Very, very, very HOT. Plan on taking many breaks and asking for water at Quick Service restaurants to stay hydrated!
-Flights can be more affordable.
Here is the summary of my personal opinion: if budget is most important, then go with end of August! If comfort is more important, go with March Break! Either way, you will have a magical time!
I hope this helps you make your decision and please come and visit us again soon!
