    This is my first time going to Disney, I have a family of 3 and we are going May 27-June 1 and wanting to stay at a Disney hotel. My husband is not active duty, but he is a veteran and inactive reservist, is he still eligible for the military discount?

    How exciting to be planning your FIRST vacation to Walt Disney World! 

    In order to be eligible for the military discount promotion, you must be either:  active duty, active duty reservist, or retired military.  I called to confirm this, and was also told that if the Guest is a disabled veteran, he or she may also qualify for the discount, with the appropriate identification.

    Please make sure you check the rates of the Disney Value Resorts.  These resorts on the Disney property are spectacular, with elaborate theming, special amenities, onsite counter service dining, access to Extra Magical Hours in the Parks, and complimentary transportation to and from the Disney Parks.  They are an excellent deal!

    Please let your husband know how much we appreciate his service to our country, and I hope you have an amazing trip to Walt Disney World!
