Hello Craig,
I am excited to hear that you are
planning your first visit to Walt Disney World. A little careful planning helps ease the stress. One thing I always tell my friends who are first time Walt Disney World travelers is that you cannot possibly see everything. So, have each person in your travel party choose three must-do attractions or dining and plan around those. That way you ensure that those are covered and everything else is extra magic.
While everyone here on the Disney Parks Moms Panel has differing favorites and opinions, here are my recommendations for which parks to prioritize. I currently have a 12, 9, and 6 year old and their favorite park (and mine) is Magic Kingdom. It has something for everyone including a few thrill rides, nostalgic classics, and, in my opinion, is the quintessential park when I think of Walt Disney World. Epcot is my second favorite park, but many guests with kids feel that it does not have enough for kids in the World Showcase. But, with activities like the
Kidcot Fun Stops and
Disney Phineas and Ferb: Agent P's World Showcase Adventure, the kids are sure to feel entertained even though there are not as many "rides" in World Showcase. My family usually splits a day between Disney's Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios, but again that is our choice.
Take a look at the video attached about planning around your top priorities for more tips from another Disney Parks Moms Panel. I hope you have a magical first time visit and you leave wanting to come back time and time again.
