This will be our first time going to Disney during Christmas! Where is the best place to eat on Christmas day? What are some Christmas related things that we shouldn't miss?

Welcome to planDisney, Marlene! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today. Walt Disney World during the holidays is pure magic, and you're in for a real treat on your upcoming trip this December. Garlands on Main Street, U.S.A., towering trees in every park, gingerbread-scented resorts, and festive music everywhere. It's cozy, sparkly, and a little bit extra in the very best way. Perfect for a first Christmas visit!

For Christmas Day dining, you've got great choices depending on the vibe you want. If you're dreaming of a classic feast, Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom serves an all-American turkey and trimmings spread that feels like a home-cooked holiday meal. If you're looking for something a bit more adventurous, head to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge for Boma or Sanaa for a holiday meal with some international flair. For an unbeatable festive atmosphere, Biergarten in EPCOT brings live music, twinkling lights, and communal cheer that feels like a family holiday gathering. And if you're celebrating big, Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian makes for a special signature meal with that dressed-up treat yourself energy, complete with a fireworks view. Here's a bonus tip: most Table-Service restaurants roll out a special holiday entrée or menu on Christmas Day, and those details usually pop up in My Disney Experience a few days before the 25th, so you'll find a festive option pretty much anywhere you book.

As for can't-miss holiday fun, my favorite thing to do is stroll the Resort Hotel lobbies. Beach Club has a life-size, fully edible gingerbread carousel, and Wilderness Lodge is a Christmas postcard come to life. In EPCOT, the International Festival of the Holidays brings international storytellers, seasonal bites at the Holiday Kitchens, and the beautiful Candlelight Processional, a Disney tradition dating back almost 70 years. Over at Magic Kingdom, soak in the decorations on Main Street and keep an eye out for special daytime entertainment during Christmas week. Finally, don't skip Disney Springs for shopping, the Christmas Tree Stroll, and live entertainment. Great for an evening wander with cocoa in hand!

I hope this answers your question, Marlene, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
