This is our first time going to Disney, do I have to make dining reservations ahead of time? Anyone care to share a sample of their dining plan for the trip? Breakfast, lunch and dinner? We are staying at the Coronado with deluxe meal plans. Going in June

Karen, are you excited about your first trip to my favorite vacation spot??  Well, congratulations on your first trip!  I know it can be overwhelming when planning your first vacation to Disney, but you will make memories that will last a lifetime!

I would suggest that you make your dining reservations ahead of time.  Since you are going in June, you can make them now online or by calling 407-WDW-DINE.  My family always take advantage of the Disney Dining Plan - one table service meal, one snack and one counter service meal.  We normally eat breakfast in the room (yogurt, bagels, cereal, fruit) unless we have a reservation at The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom.  Our lunch consist of meals from the counter service restaurants in the Theme Parks and we use our table service credits during dinner.

I've never used the Deluxe Dining Plan because it's too much food for us right now - can't believe I just said that!!  This plan includes three meals and two snacks per person, per night of your vacation package.  We always visit in the summer and there's no way we could possibly walk around "stuffed"!

I hope you enjoy your vacation and let the memories begin!
