Greetings, Maria. I'm so happy you've stopped by the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask your question. Getting dining reservations at Walt Disney World can be tricky, the reservations do fill up early and quickly.
I would say that getting a character meal reservation is not impossible for you, you just have to be consistent about checking to see if there is any availability. You can call 407-WDW-DINE to see about a reservation or check on the Walt Disney World website. I would suggest downloading the
MyDisneyExperience App on your mobile phone. The app allows you to search for available tables at all of the Walt Disney World restaurants very quickly. You can search for a table by your current location, by the restaurant name or by experience/cuisine. You can also book the dining reservation right then as well. It is a great app, I use it a lot!
If you aren't able to book a character dining reservation, there are still plenty of opportunities to meet characters throughout each of the parks. One of my favorite character meet and greets is the
Character Spot at Epcot. I love the way this meet and greet is set up, you wait once and get to meet several characters right in a row. It is great.
I have my fingers crossed that you'll be able to get a reservation for a character meal. If you have any other questions before your vacation, please come back and ask. Have a magical day!
