First time to Disney with our daughters. Would you recommend going to a park for the morning EMH mid-July with two daughters (both age 4)? Keep hearing conflicting information. Thank you so much for your help!

    Hi Jennifer,

I think you'll find that opinions often vary regarding Extra Magic Hours. I suggest that Guests look at several factors before making their final decisions (which could indeed vary from day-to-day):

    * What time of year are you traveling?
    * Are there any special events being held on the days you are considering EMHs?
    * What are the ages of the people in your party?
    * What are your "must dos"?
    * Are you staying on or off property? (Guests must be WDW resort hotel guests to take advantage of EMHs).
    * How many days are you able to spend in the parks?
    * Do you have park hopper tickets?

You indicated that you're going in mid-July with your 2 four-year DDs. I am assuming that you're staying on property. Here are my thoughts (I'm sure that there will be others that will argue the other side).  You will be traveling at a time when the weather is typically hot - okay very hot. You have two little ones that will likely be up early any way, full of energy and raring to go. If I were you, I would take advantage of morning EMHs. That way you can get to the park earlier before the weather gets really hot which tends to be harder on younger kids - they wear out and get cranky fast. Decide your must dos and do them first. When it gets really hot, head back to your resort to cool off in the pool or take a nap to refresh. Then head back to the parks as the sun is going down and temperatures are cooling down to enjoy more magic.

If you do not have the park hopper option, you'll have to go back to the park you entered in the morning or you'll use another day of your tickets. If you have a park hopper option, you can revisit the same park or choose another park to end your day - possibly one with evening EMHs.

I hope this helps in making your decisions. Wishing you many magical memories :-)
