Hi, this is our first time on a Disney Cruise. We will be sailing the Disney Magic 6/9th Mediterranean cruise. we are taking many excursions. I requested late dining but they gave me the early one and I can’t modify it. Will I have issues with timing?

    Ahoy, Milagritos!

I'm happy to help with your question about one of my favorite features of a Disney Cruise Line vacation - Dining! With breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and 24-hour Room Service included in the cost of your cruise, you'll never have to look long or far for something delicious to eat on a Disney Cruise ship.

For your dinner each evening, you'll get to enjoy Rotational Dining - you'll be assigned which Main Dining venue to visit each night. With the Rotational Dining system, every guest will have a chance to dine in each of the three Main Dining restaurants at least once during a sailing. Not only that, your serving team rotates with you! They will get to know you and your dining preferences, which makes each meal an experience personalized just for your dining party.

There are two different seating times each evening. Main Seating is at 5:45pm, and guests will enjoy an early meal followed by that evening's entertainment. Second Seating is at 8:15pm - those guests will head to the Walt Disney Theatre for the evening's show before eating dinner. If you'd like to swap your dining assignment, you can call Disney Cruise Line directly at (800)951-3532 and see if they would be able to help make the change for you. If you're unable to switch dining times before your cruise, you'll have an opportunity once you board the ship. On Embarkation Day, you'll be given a Personal Navigator (a daily schedule of activities on the ship) when you check in for your cruise. On it, you'll see a note about changing dining assignments. If, on that day, you want to make any changes, I encourage you to visit the location listed to make your request. Hopefully you'll get the dining rotation you're looking for!

I hope this helps with your planning. Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question! - Diane W.
