First Time Disney Cruise on the Dream to the Bahamas' Mar 25.......will the water be warm enough on the ship's pool? What other tips do you have? I will be traveling just myself and a 5 year old.

    Ahoy Cari –

Congratulations on your first Disney Cruise! Very soon now, you and your young sea pup will enjoy the beautiful Disney Dream and experience all of the fun activities onboard.  Last month, I took my 2 sea pups on a solo trip on the Dream (since my husband could not come) and we had a fabulous time. We enjoyed Mickey's Pool where the water was very pleasant and relaxing for the children. If the temperature dips below 75 degrees, there are heaters in the swimming pools onboard in order for pirate families to enjoy the water features year round. My pirate fairy rode the AquaDuck and told me that she felt that the water on the coaster was chilly for her, so she jumped right into the Mickey Pool afterwards and warmed up. On our sailing last month, there were special ticketed events distributed on embarkation day for the Princess Gathering and Character Greetings with Anna & Elsa from Frozen, so check your Navigator to find out the location if your sea pup would like to go.  My little pirates loved the Millennium Falcon and R2D2 in the Oceaneer Club as well as the Infinity Playroom. Make sure you go to Open House on the first day in the Oceaneer Club and play with your little pirate to get him (or her) adjusted to drop-offs. I left my sea pups playing comfortably while I visited Senses Spa. My crew also had a great time together playing BINGO, dancing at the Disney Junior Dance Party with Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Sophia the First, and of course Karaoke! Miniature golf on Goofy’s Sports Deck was a fun activity for my family, especially when followed by gelato from Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats. Cari, we are excited for your first Disney Cruise, and we hope you have a fun time with your sea pup!  Thank you for visiting with us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
