This is our first time to Disney. We would like to get some basic foods for our room (milk, cereal, oj, etc...) Are there any grocery stores on the grounds? If not are there any shuttles off the grounds to get to a grocery store?

Hi Rebecca!  There is not a grocery store on Disney property but most resorts do have a food court or a small variety of groceries available in the resort gift shop.  However, depending on your length of stay, this might not be the most economical option.

There are taxis available at all resorts that can take you to a nearby grocery store but a better option might be to order from a grocery service such as gardengrocer.com.  You can shop for what you need online and set up a delivery time with the service to deliver groceries right to your resort door.  Very convenient!

I hope your first vacation to Walt Disney World is truly magical!  Diane
