first time to disney. 2 adult/ 2 kids. 2 & 5yrs. I don't want to be very rigid. Don't want them to be tired and cranky. Which dinning plan should I buy. would like to have maybe 4 char. dinners.

    Hi Crystal,

If you are going to be doing character meals it is best to get the Magic Your Way package with the Disney Dining Plan.  You will get one table service credit, one counter service credit, and one snack credit per night of your stay.  The only character buffet that requires two table service credits is Cinderella's Royal Table.  From your questions, I don't know how many days in total you are visiting WDW.  If you end up doing a buffet each day or even one every other day, the meal plan will save you a good deal of money.

The character meals are great for little ones.  It forces them to sit down and relax for awhile while they are being entertained by the characters.

    Enjoy your trip - Michelle
