First time cruising and are heading to Disney after cruise. Can we take our luggage off the ship on the last day ourselves or do we have to put our luggage out to be picked up the night before? Hoping to get off ship maybe a little faster to get to Disney

    Ahoy, Jenn!

Thanks so much for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel site. I love having to keep the magic going too... stepping off of the Disney Cruise Ship, and heading over to Disney World in Orlando is a great combination vacation. You and your whole crew will have a blast!

You are welcome to step off the ship with your luggage on disembarkation morning. This is usually what folks who are trying to get off the boat first will do. Since the ship is normally cleared by US Customs at around 7:30 am, try to be at the exit gangway area (the lobby atrium) a few minutes before that. It just saves you a spot in the exit line and you can walk off the ship with all your belongings earlier than everyone else. You'll still be going through customs, but at least you'll likely be one of the first that morning. You'll get out on the street first as well, to catch your ground transportation that will take you to your Disney Resort.

Don't forget to catch an early breakfast before you leave the ship. The breakfast buffet will usually be open early and you can quickly grab something to eat. Room service will unfortunately not be available on disembarkation morning.

I hope this helps, Jenn! Have a great sea and land vacation. Please let us know if you have any other questions that we can try and answer. We're here to help you prepare for your upcoming Disney Cruise Line vacation.

    Bon voyage!
