Great to hear that you'll be sailing on your first magical voyage this coming February, Becky!
There's so much to see and do onboard the Disney Dream for everyone in the family. Your kids will get to check out all the Youth Club spaces onboard -
they will have a blast! Your princess will love the Oceaneer Lab and I'm sure she'll make lots of friends there.
Disney Cruise Line makes it easy for guests since there's a lot already included in your cruise. Unless you are planning to dine in the adult-exclusive restaurants, Palo or Remy, all other dining experiences are already included. You'll get reminder tickets in your stateroom on embarkation day, just to make sure you know where to go for dinner in the evenings. Try not to miss the evening shows at your assigned show time -- you watch the early show if you are dining late, and you watch the later show, if you are dining early. Not to worry -- you won't miss anything! There's no need to reserve seats - just plan to arrive 15 minutes early to get a good seat in the theater.
Port Adventures will need to be reserved in advance. There are a few to choose from, depending on your interests. A popular first-timer excursion on Disney's private island, Castaway Cay, is the
Extreme Getaway Package. It's a good mixture of activities for the whole family. You can also enjoy more activities like parasailing and jet skiing for a thrilling excursion. While at Nassau, you can choose to stay onboard to enjoy the ship with less people onboard, or go on an adventure at Blue Lagoon Island or Atlantis. If you are interested in Spa treatments, you'll also need to book these in advance (price varies). I'm out of space, but this should get you started, Becky!
Oh and... don't forget your pirate gear,
~ Dolly
