First time cruising will be in fantasy thinking of doing epcot rather than magic kingdom as im coming fr soCal and wanted to get opinion if thats a good idea. I have a 4 year old who loves princesses. Advice on rides and food appreciated

Hello there Natwalee!  Thanks for stopping by planDisney!

If you're visiting from Southern California and visit the Disneyland Resort often, then you may want to consider visiting EPCOT instead of Magic Kingdom Park.  While Magic Kingdom Park is not an exact replica of Disneyland Park in California, it does have many similarities.  EPCOT is unlike anything at the Disneyland Resort, it will be such a unique experience!

There are several places in EPCOT where your child can meet some of their favorite Princesses such as meeting Belle in France, Mulan in China, Princess Aurora in France, Princess Jasmine in Morocco, and Snow White in Germany!  That would be such a fun experience to be able to meet some of their favorite Princesses while also exploring everything that the World Showcase has to offer.  You also could make your way over to Norway to meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus, as well as experience the Frozen Ever After attraction!  That is a must for us during each visit since we love the movie Frozen, and I also recommend heading to France for Remy's Ratatouille Adventure.

For dining at EPCOT, you may want to explore securing a dining reservation at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall where you can dine with Disney Princesses for a Norwegian-inspired family-style meal!  We always love a character dining experience since you get to interact with characters or Princesses while enjoying a delicious meal!

However, you can never go wrong with a day at Magic Kingdom Park in my opinion!  You can meet Princesses such as Cinderella or Tiana at Princess Fairytale Hall in Fantasyland, or meet Ariel at Her Grotto.  For a regal dining experience, I'd definitely explore making a dining reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table where you get to dine right in Cinderella Castle!  For attractions, you cannot go wrong in Fantasyland if you have a little one, we never miss a chance to experience Peter Pan's Flight or Dumbo the Flying Elephant.  For a unique experience, I definitely would take a ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, where you'll get to tour all of the attractions and sights of Tomorrowland.

My final recommendation is that if you're able to add the Park Hopper option to your theme park tickets, you actually could visit both parks during the same day!  That way you could experience all of the unique character experiences, dining, and attractions in one day if you're able to.

I hope this information helps answer your question, Natwalee!  I'm wishing you and your family a wonderful visit, please come back if we can help with any other questions!

    Have a magical day,
    Melissa
