We are first time cruisers travelling in the Magic from Port Canaveral in January! Will we have enough time to make a 11:25am flight from Orlando airport on disembark day?

    Ahoy, Kimberly!

Welcome back to the Moms Panel. I'm so glad to see that you are cruising for the very first time with Captain Mickey. There's so much to do and so much to experience on the Disney Cruise - you and your family will be in for such a treat!

Disembarkation day is always a sad day for me and my family... no one ever wants to leave the Disney Cruise! As you prepare to come back to the 'real world', do remember that the last morning on the cruise is still a time that you can enjoy. I highly suggest that you book a flight out of MCO sometime after 12:30pm the earliest. This allows you some wiggle time in the morning. It also gives you some time to enjoy a leisurely sit down breakfast and say goodbye to your dedicated dining team. If you are traveling with kids, this makes it especially important, since they are sometimes the toughest to rush and keep on a very strict schedule.

But just in case you have no other options - it still is doable... but be prepared to be that morning's drill sergeant :-).  If your flight out of the MCO Airport leaves at 11:25, you will need to be at the airport at 10am.
Remember that there are sometimes long lines at the Security/Xray area prior to boarding. Backtracking, that means you would need to leave the cruise port and be on the road to the airport on or before 9am. The ship usually gets cleared by US Customs at around 7:30am. If you carry all your luggage with you and you are at the exit gangway right at 7:30, then you can likely be one of the first few guests off the ship. You'll need to go through customs first and then exit to the ground transportation area. If you arrange for a taxi or a private shuttle, then you can leave for the airport without having to wait. (By the way, you can grab a quick breakfast from Cabanas buffet that morning.)

Hopefully, you'll have more flight options to avoid too much of the rush that morning.
    I hope that helps!
