First time cruisers. Looking to go in June on Wish out of Port Canaveral. How do we get shuttled from MCO to a hotel the night before? Which hotel do we choose? How do we get shuttled to boat and how do we get shuttled back to MCO for flight home?

    Hi there, Dean!

Welcome to planDisney. I'm very delighted you sailed our way! Planning your first Disney Cruise must be exciting for your family! Soon you'll be gliding across the sparkling blue waters, feeling those ocean breezes, and soaking up all the enchantment that only Disney Cruise Line can bring.

For 2026 sailings, ground transportation is available to and from select locations for an additional fee. On the Port Canaveral page of the Disney Cruise Line website, you will find two featured hotel options, the Hyatt Regency Orlando International Airport and the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront. My family adores the Hyatt Regency! Its convenient location right inside the Orlando International Airport (MCO) makes arrival day as smooth as a magic carpet ride! No transportation is needed, and my kids love the rooftop pool where they can watch the planes take off.

You might also consider sprinkling a little extra magic on your vacation by staying at Walt Disney World Resort before your cruise! You don't need theme park tickets to enjoy the resorts. In fact, my family loves lounging by the pools, snacking on delicious bites, and exploring the unique theming! Disney's Pop Century Resort, Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter, and Disney's Riviera Resort are a few of my personal favorites for starting a vacation with a little Disney charm.

Ground transfers from Port Canaveral back to MCO are also available in 2026, perfect for softening the bittersweet feeling of disembarkation day (which always tugs at the heartstrings!). You can book select hotel and transportation options by calling Disney Cruise Line ahead of time.

While on your cruise, be sure to take advantage of one of my favorite bits of onboard pixie dust: the Onboard Offer. You won't regret it! Guests can put down a Placeholder deposit during their cruise, which secures an eligible future cruise at a special rate. You don't even need to choose your itinerary right away! Your Placeholder gives you time to dream, plan, and pick the perfect voyage later.

Dean, I hope you decide to book your Disney Cruise! The Disney Wish is a beautiful ship, and you won't ever want to leave! Do not hesitate to reach out to planDisney again if you have additional questions.

    Happy sailing!
    Jen
