First time cruisers- me, DH and our 8yo daughter- 3day Bahamas, 11/21-11/24. I'm looking for tips/tricks/advice to get the most our of cruise, any programs, activities, etc that are included in the cost. Any tips for us? How about your top 10. THANKS!

    Hi Tenille,

One of the best things about cruising is that it’s pretty much all inclusive! Aside from alcoholic beverages and specialty drinks your dining is all included. There is a 24 hour drink station that gives you access to unlimited coffee, tea, hot chocolate and soda. Any activities in the Oceaneer clubs are included, such as crafts, Flubber making, cooking school are included as well.  Here are a few of my favorite tips:
    • Get to the Port early. The earlier you can start enjoying the ship the better. We try to get there around 10:00 a.m. with hopes of boarding by 11:30 or so (bring a deck of cards to pass the time).
    • Have your bathing suit with you when you board and go directly to deck 9 to enjoy the pools. This is one of the least crowded times to swim onboard.
    • Buy a few eye patches, pirate accessories and glow sticks before you leave – it adds to the fun on Pirate Night.
    • Bring a high-lighter, one color for each member of the family. Use them to highlight your Personal Navigator based on the activities you want to participate in.
    • Order room service – you can have pretty much anything, even as simple as a Mickey Ice Cream bar. Just bring a stash of small bills for tipping the room service attendant.
    • Pack sticky notes or a small dry erase board to leave each other messages in the cabin in the event you go separate ways.
    • Bring sunscreen – and reapply.
    • On Castaway Cay continue all the way to the end of the family beach – it will be much less crowded.
    • Re-book while onboard for discounted rates.

I hope this helps, have fun!
