Hi there, Victoria!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You must be so excited for your FIRST Disney Cruise Line vacation! Hopefully you’ve downloaded the
Navigator app and have set the Cruise Countdown Clock to watch the days tick away! Before you know it you will be onboard sailing away for an adventure you won’t forget alongside everyone’s favorite captain, Captain Mickey!
A cruise with a stop at Port Canaveral is such a fun treat! Not only do you get a vacation at sea, but you also get to visit the "Most Magical Place on Earth"! My family sailed a similar itinerary last year and it was such a fun addition to our already fun and exciting itinerary! Once your
online booking window opens (75 days prior to sailing), you will select a bus departure time for the 60-75 minute transfer to
Walt Disney World Resort from Port Canaveral. Usually the earliest bus departure is around 7:00AM getting you to the parks right around rope drop! Once you are at the theme parks, you can use your park hopper pass to visit as many parks as you can fit in during your day! Departures back to Port Canaveral begin in the late afternoon with the final departures following fireworks so that you are back onboard for the scheduled “All Aboard” time. Any Extra Magic Hours available usually don't fit into your day at the parks due to transfer time between the port and the parks, but you will have time for a FULL day of fun!
I am so excited for you and your family to experience a Disney Cruise Line vacation! Please come back with any other questions you have as your planning continues!
Happy Sailing!
Stephanie
