Hello, Abigail! Welcome to planDisney.
I'm so glad you found us to ask your questions. It's a pleasure to help you prepare for your very first Disney Cruise! My family began sailing with Disney over nine years ago, and we were hooked from the start. I hope you make so many magical memories onboard the
Disney Fantasy.
I totally understand why you are asking your question. On our first cruise, I was worried about the same thing! I can't give you a concrete answer on whether your sailing will offer any matinee performances, but my most recent cruise (just two weeks ago) did offer one matinee performance on the final day at sea, so you may experience the same thing.
If your
little one needs to go to bed before the show begins, in most cases, you can tune in on the television in your stateroom to catch a recording of the performance. This is how I watched a couple of the shows on our first sailing when my three-year-old was tuckered out from all the activities and water play. On the Disney Fantasy, the television stateroom can swing away from the wall and toward the main bed. You can even pull the curtain closed to separate the sleeping space from the screen to keep your toddler happily slumbering.
I'm wishing you an amazing experience balancing the fun, food, and entertainment during your sailing. Please be sure to download (or update to) the latest version of the
Disney Cruise Line Navigator app before setting sail. Once you are on the ship, the app will point your compass toward all the excitement onboard.
Happy Sailing!
