First time going on a cruise, along with my son and it will be his birthday is there any way the crew can sing happy birthday to him? I am scared he won't want to explore and take part in the activities is there anyone that could hang with him?

    Hello there!

Thanks so much for writing to us!  My boys both have summer birthdays, and this is generally when we chose to sail with Disney Cruise Line, so I always ensure that we celebrate while on board.  I recommend ensuring that your son's birthday is noted on your reservation.  Your son will not only be serenaded by the talented crew at your evening dinner venue, but it is very likely that the entire dining room will join in singing "happy birthday!"  In addition, they will bring out an extra magical dessert!  You might also want to consider ordering a cake or some decorations for your stateroom celebrating your pirate's special day!  If you are anxious that your son will be anxious about enjoying the amazing activities at the youth clubs, please don't fret.  The staff is incredible at each of the clubs and will ensure that he feels included.  My guess is that after one visit, you'll have a hard time pulling him out!  My boys are both very shy and I was anxious as well on our first cruise.  I can tell you first-hand that I was amazed at how much fun they had and at how inclusive the environment is in all of the youth activities clubs.

Have fun planning and have an amazing vacation!
